darkecho
A.) Why does Logic measure panning to +/- 64? B.) Why does Logic let me go to -64 when it can only go to +63?
noperator
Because everything is actually measured with a total of 128 steps- ie: 0 - 127. going to -64 is probably just a coin flip. It means there are only 63 steps for right, 63 steps for left, but 128 being an even number the only other option would be to only have -63 and +63 and leave one out... darkecho
so then does -64 = +63, -50 = +49 and so on? or does the left side get just a little louder????!
noperator
I don't think anyone could answer that unless they painstakingly compared them, and plus you can adjust how panning affects the total output. Look at page 950 in the manual. There is another post in here with an awesome graph comparison, too.
