djcream
Hi. I've been searching for the answer to this but couldn't find one. Hope someone here can help me out. I had Ivory installed & running well in Logic 8. Suddenly when I load a piano there's no piano keyset. I recently installed Ivory on my new intel Mac & ran the 1.7 updates and converted the library, and all was fine. I have it running in Pro Tools without this problem. I replaced the Ivory Items alias in my home folder with a new one as advised by Synthogy, but still no keysets. Stumped. Does anyone know the fix for this? I appreciate your help! dj
tim57var
did you contact Synthogy?? They're quite helpful.
djcream
Yes I contacted them by email but haven't heard back yet. It's difficult to call them b/c I'm away from my computer during business hours & more. I guess I'll try calling them from work anyway & see if they can help me while I'm not in front of my computer. Just thought I could get some late night suggestions here last night. Thanks!
John DeBorde
2 possible things from my experience: 1-your computer might not be seeing your iLok. Remove and reseat it, reboot, etc. See if that does it. 2-Ivory has forgotten where the library is. Try launching standalone and see if it prompts you to find the Ivory Items folder. hope this helps! john
djcream
Thanks for the reply! I will reseat the ilok & reboot & see if that works. I've already trashed the Ivory Items alias and opened standalone. It asked to locate the library, which I did. Then it puts a new alias in the Ivory preferences folder. I went through this process several times but still no keysets, no sound. Funny thing is, it's working just fine in Pro Tools, so I thought maybe it's a Logic issue...? By the way, I was using other ilok protected plugins last night with no problem, so I know my computer was seeing it - I'll try your suggestion anyway when I get to my computer later. Thanks! Beer Moth
I'll report back after I try your other suggestion when I get to my computer. Cool! Like flying without a plane! 8)
CHKComposer
I am having this same problem. Did you ever find a solution?
djcream
After troubleshooting with Synthgy, my temporary solution was to revert back to 1.6. That fixed it & it's working fine now in Logic & Pro Tools. I plan to reinstall the 1.7 updates after I upgrade to 10.5.2 & see if that fixes it. Still not sure why it's not working with 1.7, but I suspect it's a Leopard issue...? Hope this helps.
