Stretching a sample to fit song tempo

I have a sample that is a different tempo than my song, how can I stretch it to be right?

there has to be a way to stretch an audio file... c'mon!

 

I came from cubase where you could use warping to quantize audio really well.. logic has nothing like that????? I have a sound clip of some drums but they are a little too fast and I want them slowed down to the right tempo so I can loop them

Hi there

 

You can do it in sample editor chose the region you need an go to factory/time and pitch machine and voila.Try different algorithms.

 

The other way is to do it in arrangement hold option(alt) and go at the end of your region and drag it to fit the beats of your tempo

In the menu AUDIO in arrangement you can set different algorithms.For a drum loop i would try complex.But try to experiment for a better result.
