beatntrack
Please could someone explain the purpose and intention behind the 0db, -3db and -3db compensated options in the Pan Law setting and what should be the default for most uses. Thanks everyone
ski
It's a slightly complicated subject and it's already been written up and discussed in detail both here and on the Apple Logic forum (suggest you do a search on both forums to get quick answers). Meanwhile, I like -3dB compensated the best. Gives me the ability to pan things left and right without hearing any increase in gain on the part I'm panning. But you have to be careful when printing (bouncing). Again, all explained in previous posts.

instantpop
Here's a question: does the Pan Law come into effect if you use the Directional Mixer plug-in to get a true pan vs. the balance pan on stereo tracks?
