Matchless
Yo Mac cats. A buddy is selling a G4 867 Dual processor with a Gig of memory. It has a CD burner DVD Reader drive for $1000 good deal? or should I hold out for the G5 dual? -p
rohmer49
Good machine, but seems a little pricey. I would want to get it down to $800. or so, personally.

Thanks for the reply, I just noticed David's post that the older G5s have come down in price for the new ones. I guess my next question would be is a dual G5 that much better than the dual G4? rohmer49
I think a dual machine is necessary if you are going to do anything really sophisticated--soft synths, plug-ins, etc. If you are shopping today, I would try to find a way to get a dual processor system without question.
