chevron
Posted about this before but now I think it is something within Logic that needs to be addressed. If I route a group of Audio Tracks to an Aux and onto an Audio Track, solo does not work on any of the Audio Tracks routed to the Aux..... If I make the output of the Aux the main output then all is fine and I can solo any track no problem Tried this in Pro Tools and it works as I would expect
ChicoSatis
I can confirm this. Try this for now. Mute all your drum tracks. Now just unmute the ones you want soloed. This works pretty well accept for when you want to listen real fast to everything again. Then you have to select the tracks and unmute them. A bit more convoluted but a workaround for now. Hope this helps Have a good one.
chevron
That is a work around and I probably will use something like this. Thanks for the info the confirmation
ChicoSatis
Hi. I was editing my post while you responded. I think the way I described up top is a bit better. Have a good one.
Fred B
Just did a quick test with the following configuration (Audio1, Audio2) --> Bus1 --> Aux1 --> Bus2 --> Audio3 --> Out1-2 And I can solo the Audio1/Audio2 tracks without problems. So it does NOT confirm the issue. Maybe I'm missing something?
chevron
Interesting what version of LP8 do you have, I'm 8.0.1 - Fred B can you PM me your email address and I'll send you a small Logic song, maybe you can send me yours...? Tried exactly as you described and got the same problem - Intel Imac 2.33 Ghz/OS 10.4.11/Logic Pro
Fred B
I'd suggest that you send your project folder here as an attachment in archive (.zip) format. Just use a new (empty) template and create the simple example I've described, with some minimum audio content on tracks Audio1 and Audio2. BTW, I have version 8.0.1 too. chevron
Okay here is a small project where I can no solo any of the audio tracks... Solo Loop.zip Solo Loop.zip -
Eric Cardenas
Okay here is a small project where I can no solo any of the audio tracks... I can confirm this on my Mac Book. But it's a very strange situation so I would stick with ChicoSatis mute workaround or use Solo mode (press S while having the track you want marked.) Fred B
Strange indeed. For me (on PPC G4) the project works correctly, using the track "s" button. So it looks like a specific Intel issue...
chevron
Thanks guys, at least now I can send specific info to Apple on this one - looks like a bug and not a feature request...!
