davel6332
Is there a way to open my old akp akai programs including samples in EXS24?? I only know a way to open akai files from cd. I was trying to do this too. I have a bunch of S1000 programs and samples on syquest cartridges, but Logic can't seem to find the cartridges. It only seems set up to find CD's. The only solution I've heard of so far is a converter program. Here's a link from another user group that explains how to do it with CDxtract: http://community.sonikmatter.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=20381 I hope this helps. If you come up with a better solution let me know.
fadercraig
You are supposed to be able to do this inside logic, and i think maybe once out of um, a billion times of trying it, i got it to work on one akai program. So eventually i purchased Cdxtract and converted all the disks i need stuff from. Its not perfect, i had to tweak some of the programs when they had been translated into exs format, but it was worth it to have access to the sounds...
