No sound in Logic from firewire interface.

Hello,

I have a Presonus Firebox firewire interface, a MacBook Pro and a problem. Here is the issue;

- When I play my instrument, I can hear it from the monitors. Monitor direction works more then fine.

- I set up the Firebox as default audio device and tested it with a movie file and the outputs work fine.

Shortly, I don't think that I have a hardware problem.

- When I play, Logic does not get a signal from the inputs of the interface. I tested the outputs with the metronome of Logic and I heard that so Logic uses outputs of the interface fine.

- There is no signal on the Input of the mixer of Logic while there is sound on the monitors.

- When I add a new channel in the mixer of Logic, I get a really low signal from my instrument. It's so low that I cannot see any sound waves in the recording graph.

I searched a lot of forums and tutorials about this but I still have the issue.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Does your Firebox have some sort of external mixer program where the inputs could be muted?

your logic is outputing sound fine or you would not hear the click...you must not have the instrument pluged into a logic track correctly....how come you can hear it?

what input is it going in ? got a track with that input selected ..in record or input?

turned it up...with its outputs correct? :P

try looking in logics audio preferences to see what its looking at...ie does it think you have pro tools? core audio etc...
I can see that Logic uses Firebox as the audio device in the preferences. By the way, my device uses Core Audio as audio driver, there is not a driver that came with the package for Mac.

I looked to everything again but still have the issue. I took a screenshot of mixer that shows the problem;

As you can see, Audio 1 and Aux 1 has the same inputs, there is no signal in Audio 1 and there is a low signal in Aux 1.

A software router/mixer is also included for further flexibility and power.

You should have the Presonus software that has a mixer/ router screen. I think this is where you problem will be. Click on your presonus icon and the mixer screen should appear. Set the input and out put.

Here is a screenshot from my mixer, I think everything is fine here.
