Automatically saving a new audio file

Hi. This may sound like a dumb question, but I was just wondering if it was possible for logic pro 7 to automatically save an audio file as a new file when it has been edited or sliced. I used to use Cubase SX3 and every time I sliced or edited a file it would resave the edit/slice as a new file and not overwrite the original.
