Bouncing to mono in L8

I'm surprised I've not seen this mentioned.

Then again, I'm not. I'm probably doing something stupid again.

Anyway, here goes...

I'm having issues bouncing to mono. Even when I set my output 1-2 object to mono, and I bounce, it only gives me the options of split and interleaved. If I choose "interleaved" even when the output is set to mono, I get a stereo file. (I'm talkin' .wav files here, not mp3s)

When I need to deliver splits of a session, my workaround has been to bounce as split tracks, delete the .R tracks and then go in and manually take the ".L" out of the file names. Voila! Mono tracks. Stupid crazy workaround that shouldn't have to happen. I'm usually dealing with LOTS of splits, so this is no fun.

In L7, when the output object was set to mono, and you bounced, it didn't even give you the option of "split" or "interleaved" because it was, well, mono!

Am I missing something, or is this something I should send to Apple?

Thanks!

And again I feel like a dolt.

Here I was, so happy having "found" the bounce key command right when I got L8, and using it like gangbusters, not knowing the two things were related. It makes sense, after all.

I really appreciate the help. You just made my life a lot easier.
