composerk
I have a two button mouse, and want the right hand button to always be assigned to the velocity tool. Anyway of setting that up? At the moment I have to click on the VT every time, which I usually forget to do.
ski
Your right mouse button should automatically be configured by the system to be "right click". If you have "right click assignable as tool" (editing prefs) you should be able to assign the Velocity tool to that button in each editor.
composerk
yup, I'd like it to remember that assignment for ever. Is that not possible? As in, when I reopen the file.
ski
yup, I'd like it to remember that assignment for ever. It will. If you want this to happen every time you start a new song you'll have to create your own templates in which the velocity tool is assigned in the editors. David Nahmani
Ski is correct: just assign the right-click to the desired tool in the songs or templates you want, unlock and relock the screenset if you're using locked screensets, and save. It will forever remember that assignment unless you manually reassign the tool to something else. PS: In the Piano Roll, the Command-click tool has been my Velocity tool for several years now. I've never changed it. Love it.
