mwdproductions
Anyone know what this error means? "Digidesign hardware In use by another application (-1133)" I've searched and seem to be missing something. LE works on my Intel just fine. Both computers have Logic8. LE 7.1 on G5 and 7.1.1 on Intel. Digi web says it should work. I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice.
David Nahmani
Is the digi core audio selected in your system preference or Audio MIDI Setup? It should NOT be selected there, only in Logic's Audio Preferences.
mwdproductions
No digi core audio at either spot. I have a PCI-424 connected to a MrkII 2408 slaved to a Lynx Aurora 8 selected. When I pull up digi core audio manager it says digidesign hw- unsupported device. If I hit connect it freezes and yes my mBox is connected with lights on and as stated before it works great on my Intel. And Logic is slamming on either the G5 or the Intel. ChicoSatis
Hi Have you tried just unplugging the M box while working in L8 to see if it will at least let get you working? It's a lame workaround for now but I'm just curious to see if it will at least get you going until you get the real problem sorted out. HAve a good one. fader8
One of the many issues with Digi's core audio drivers is their inability to get along with other hardware, even when the Digi hardware isn't in use. If you don't need the Digi core audio drivers, then remove them. I've quoted Digi's instructions below. I highly recommend this if you have another core audio interface to use for everything else. It allows you to run other audio apps and Pro Tools simultaneously without pesky problems too. This has no impact on how the interface operates with Pro Tools btw. Note that this doesn't remove the MIDI driver, so you can still use the MIDI port on your Digi interface, which is a good thing! Removing the Digidesign CoreAudio Driver To manually uninstall, remove the "Digidesign CoreAudio.plugin" file from the following location on your hard drive: Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL That is the file you need to either delete or move from that location. The other file installed does not need to be removed, but can be found here: The Digi CoreAudio Manager application is installed on your hard drive here: /Applications/Digidesign/Digi CoreAudio Manager.app

It says unsupported device when I open the Digi Core Manager. Is there a firmware issue with the mBox?
