mksprior
This is driving me nuts. For some reason my 'open recent' section under the file tab in Logic remains blank no matter what I do or what I open or how often... Any ideas? I wan to be able to open Logic and just quickly open my most recent project instead of looking for the file.... Matt
chellstrom
You don't mention what you've tried, what your system is, version of Logic etc. but: Have you tried trashing the preferences?
mksprior
I'm on Logic 8 on an imac running OSX. I've tried looking through all possible options and making sure my folders are structured in the correct way... I haven't tried trashing my preferences... How would I do this...? shivermetimbers
Look in your GLOBAL preferences under the project handling tab: Start up actions.
mksprior
No this is not the problem - when I go to the 'global -startup actions' preference I WANT Logic to 'do nothing'..... however my problem is that having 'done nothing' I go to look at my recently opened sessions (as u would in most programs) and there is nothing in the list.... shivermetimbers
So you are saying that you set the Global preference to the Open most recent setting?
mksprior
No I set it to 'Do Nothing'. I don't want Logic to automatically open my most recent project everytime I startup the program... I simply want it to provide me with a list of the most recent 5 or so sessions I have worked on (it has done this for me in the past but now mysteriously stopped). This list USED to appear under FILE > OPEN RECENT > But now this is always blank....
chellstrom
I haven't tried trashing my preferences...How would I do this...? Go to: home folder (your user folder)/library/preferences, and look for this file "com.apple.logic.pro.plist". Drag this file to your desktop before you start Logic and a new preference file will be created. The reason you're not trashing it immediately is so that you have your old file, should something go wrong. Don't worry, it shouldn't! FYI, although I haven't checked this recently, Logic used to also clear the 'recent items' list when you imported another set of keycommands in the keycommands window. Hope that helps,
mksprior
Hi, Have tried this scrapping of my preferences but still no change... Logic is refusing to 'remember' what sessions I have worked on recently. How can i check that my key commands folder is as it should be...? mksprior
I've had an idea - could this be related to where I store projects? I may have renamed or moved the folder where I keep my projects... Can somebody who has recently installed tell me the exact directory of their projects folder to see if mine matches? bmdaugherty
First off are you on leopard or tiger and which version? Also this probably isn't your problem but if you open logic when the drive you saved the project on is not present, Logic clears those items from the list, They will reappear when the drive is connected again, but you have to restart logic. I'm not sure if this works like this in tiger, but for sure in leopard I have experienced this behavior on several occasions.
mksprior
My operating system is an IMAC using OSX TIGER 10.4.11 I don't use a removable hard-drive - it is always present....
