mnstudio
I'm working on a song starting from measure 1, now, but I'm encountering still automation weirdness: On a track I put -2.4 dB fader volume but on certain measure it goes on 0.0 dB WITHOUT ANY AUTOMATION EVENT ON IT!!??? so that I had to disseminate everywhere -2.4 dB events so that if I start the song from various points it doesn't go to 0.0. Very very annoying, And it does it only on 1 track. The others seem to work well. P.S. I checked Automation Event list and all seems to be ok. David Nahmani
What kind of track? You may have region based automation in one of the regions? Select the region and open the event list, see if there's a volume event?
mnstudio
There aren't any regions on this track. It's the Garritan PO (multichannel) Instrument track where tere aren't regions (they are all on Multi instrument connected to GPO). But on this "master" track I want to put some Total Volume events. Now, as I said, it seems there is somewhat which gets back this track to 0.0 dB volume when i.e. I make "rewind" or "forward" (move the song position pointer 1 measure after or before), but there isn't any event which does it!!.... neither on Auto Events list
Fred B
As far as I know, volume of some GPO instruments (eg. woodwind, brass) is controlled by modwheel (cc#1). Maybe your problem has to do with the fact that Logic sometimes resets modwheel to 0, depending on preference settings?
birdbrain08
If you are using GPO as a Logic Multi Instrument, controller 7 from any channel will control the channel fader. Unless anyone has inside information on how this works, methinks it's a legacy bug that they haven't gotten around to fixing.
Sohio
If you have a lot of stuff going on, I have found that there times when the automation just can't keep up. This is especially true when it comes to automation regarding the bypassing of a plug-in. The total number of bugs and dissapointments with L8 is high. I hope they sort it all out.
