SwedeinLA
Hi! I received 3 tunes from a friend Im gonna put some solos on. He uses protools. He sent em to me, and i tried to drag the m4a's straight to Logic, but it said it does not work? Is there a way to get them on to logic as an audiofile or whatever, so I can solo to them? Really appreciate the info you guys might have.
maninthedark30
I think you can just convert the M4A's to MP3's in iTunes, then drag those into Logic...

maninthedark30
Hmmm... I drag mp3's into Logic all the time, with no issues. So if you have the m4a (AAC) file in iTunes and can listen to it, did you try right-clicking on the song in the libary and choosing "convert selection to mp3"? Of course, your iTunes Importing Preferences have to be set to use the mp3 encoder, not the default AAC. Once it converts it to mp3, you should see two versions of the same song. Verify which one is the mp3 and click and drag it straight from your iTunes library window into a Logic session. I'm using Logic Studio 8, by the way.
