Try exercising the switches, and then try different settings (with both at the same time) to see if you have mismatches across the board. Those little DIP switches are notorious for gettings stuck and/or shorting out, so that may be the problem. If that doesn't fix it, I would take them back to the vendor. You should definitely try playing something in mono and switching the cables around though, to be on the safe side, and try switching the speaker positions just to make sure it is THE SPEAKER that has a problem.
