nicksena
For some reason Logic seems to have gone Mono on me. I have a Digi 002 that I have my speakers running into..the main outs will not detect any panning and as soon as i push something left or right it either stays the same volume or dissapears ..however the alt-main outs are working fine..they detect panning. I feel like this had something to do with me installing Logic 8, and some setting it changed without me telling it to..anyone have any idea how to fix this? I desperately need to be able to hear my pans..I dont wanna use the alt-mains because I dont have as much freedom with them. Thanks guys.
fadercraig
Hey, i know we've been throwing this issue around for a while, and i hope we can find a solution. If the panning is functioning out the 'alt' outs (how bout headphones out?) then its NOT a Logic issue. Its something in your hardware...Do you know anyone else whos computer you can borrow to plug into your digi and see what happens? Sorry your frustration has been going on and on! pantomimeHorse
I may have "brain-fade" this morning but I'm confused, here. - Are you saying, nick, that the pan-pot on your Main Outs has no effect, or that the panning of a stereo track within the mixer isn't being detected at the Main Outs ? - (a). If you ever need to mess with the Main Outs pan-pot, there's something yucky with your mix, anyway. (b). If the Main Outs meters don't pick up on your panning of stereo tracks or your placement of mono tracks, that's a Logic fault, for sure. ©. If all is well with some other hardware, but not with your Digi, then your unit is probably broke. - C
