Triggerring sequences/mp3's/backing tracks

is it possible to trigger backing tracks?

 

i know there are some basic playlist scripts in MainStage but Im looking to trigger a specific track. If Mainstage cant do it, then how is everyone doing it?

You can trigger whatever you want in Ultrabeat or the EXS24. Well..not an mp3, but that's easily converted.

what we do, for our drum loops, is load a aiff into the esx24 along with a slient aiff file then make a new group and set that group to have only one voice at a time, -thus you basically have a on off tigger.

Is there a way to sync two or more plugins?

 

Let's say I have two channelstrips with ultrabeat, is there any way to have them running in sync?

 

Guess not.

 

Also, some software sequencer/drummachine style instruments won't play if "slaved to host" is active, because Mainstage have no start/stop functionality.

you can set up a script to start playing a track in itunes from mainstage Edited April 10, 2008 by brianm

In Mainstage, if you map a button to "Actions > Play/Stop" it will start all instances of Ultrabeat at the same time, so they'll be sync'ed.
