Puzzle
I installed Logic Pro 8 a few days ago, was able to hook up my Yamaha M06 and get some basic stuff happening, but.....for example... Heres where I start.... Track/software Instrument/create/.... All goes well. My Library opens and I select 01Acoustic Pianos folder/ Pop Piano& Strings.... Load menu starts working trying to load the file..."Grand Piano+Strings 1.exs".... get to a point and tells me that file "16n7aD#3.wav" not found with option to continue or search again. Searching again just leads to the same message, continuing will load the Grand Piano file without the Strings file. This happens with lots of other instruments ! Also , where in the heck are the default directories for all these sound/wav/instrument files located ? this is driving me nuts! Puzzle
emilenitrate
Sorry to hear about your troubles. There were problems with the installer, I don't know if it's been cleared up yet. You might have to do a reinstall. Do a search on this forum for "Pacifist" and you'll see the discussions. If I were you, I'd call Apple, there's free tech support for a while after you've bought the program, although they'll probably tell you to reinstall. If nothing else I find it always nice to talk to Texans. If that doesn't work, I'd suggest Pacifist. My system has been trouble free for quite a while, no more missing samples. Good luck, it can be resolved. - Emile
Puzzle
Hi, and thanks for the quick reply!! I trashed my main Logic application, but left all the prior content right where they were. I reinstalled Main Logic Pro 8 Application. I did a quick look at my "grand piano+ strings.exs" to check, and the instrument was found and plays properly. I havnt delved any deeper but the re-install seemed to do the trick. Good Luck to everyone else and happy creating! Also, i broke down and looked at the install guide and now know where the default files are all located. Me
