stretch179
I'm trying to make a very basic ring modulation frequency sweep (I hope that is clear). The ringshifter must be able to do this but it seems to be more complicated than what I need. The freeware mda ring modulator works well but when I program the automation to raise the frequency gradually and smoothly, it comes out as abrupt steps rather than a clean sweep. Can anyone tell me how to achieve this with ringshifter? Thanks!
David Nahmani
More complicated? Just turn the big frequency knob. Everything else on the RingShifter is just another way to turn that knob (by modulating that parameter).
stretch179
Hmm. I've heard of instances of ring modulation that I can't seem to emulate with the ringshifter. I have found a piece of music that I am posting as an example. I think this is ring modulation- correct me if I am wrong. In the background you will hear a high-pitched sound bending down and then up: http://idisk.mac.com/libradigital/Public/logichelp/ringexample.mp3 Not sure how to post a live link, sorry! involver
The effect in that clip sounds more like a flanger or short delay to me...
