marcel72
I have Dynaudio BM-5as, and I have learned to trust them. I think they're only about $1k now.
fadercraig
Dynaudio and Genelec are well know and trusted (love the Genelec 1031s at work). Alot of people really like the Mackie's...me not so much, heck ive got Fostex PM2's at home. As always the best thing to do is go to your local retailer with a good selection monitors and try some out. Take 3 or 4 of your fav. well produced tracks of different genres. Try and avoid listening to something like Linkin Park* on them...ultra compressed commercial product wont, in my humble opinion, give you a realistic response. And of course, try and buy the best you can. one less coffee a day now will reward you with having purchased a quality product for years. marcel72
Linkin Park* *example only, no offense intended Don't apologize, dude. Whether or not you like it, that music is offensively loud. Square Wave Park, LOL...

Square Wave Park, LOL... Hey, even i will admit to hummin along to a couple of their tunes, i just didnt want to anger any fans, each to their own! Now if only they would use a different arrangement.... Cool. Cx
