logic 8 freezing on au scan?

well as the title suggests i downloaded the demo of mixpack2 by PSP and when i start logic it just hangs when it scans the new au plugs? any help offered?

Yes.

Remove the Polish junk from your folder in:

 

/Library/Audio/Plugins/Components

 

........ and all will be well.

 

If an AU doesn't pass validation, that means it hasn't been written properly

and may cause more serious problems when you get further into a session.

Crashing AUVal is God's way of telling you you've got shite in your

components folder.

translated for anywhere east of the Elbe ..........
