daughterofthesun
I just got a Macbook Pro and it won't recognize my Presonus Firebox. The Firebox works fine with my older Powerbook laptop (I'm using Logix Xpress 7 on it) but the same unit doesn't show up in the audio/midi dropdown selector in Logic Pro 8, even though Presonus claims there's no driver needed for newer Macs Any suggestions? Thanks.
crashingtehwarehouse
You may want to update your Firebox firmware. http://presonus.com/products/Detail.aspx?ProductId=
daughterofthesun
Thanks for replying. It was actually the power cable. Apparently, the Firebox isn't recognized by the new Macbook Pro unless it's plugged in. Once I got a new power cable, the Firebox mounted just fine. crashingtehwarehouse
Ah yes, I had a similar issue. I've found that's it's fine if you plug it in initially (the brick) and once it's established a connection with the computer you can unplug the brick. It's kinda weird.
