sample editor, mili seconds sample start

I want to chop audio and have the files exactely 400 ms long. Somehow i cant manage to get the upper bar to count at the beginning of the sample.

 

I want the start of the sample to be 0ms, how can i get this??

Manual, page 122, setting the display to show SMPTE (with milliseconds). Then, pg. 445 about showing length of events as "absolute".

 

Other notes... the bar counter always shows elapsed time. If you want to see the length of any given region you have the options above, or, you can click/hold on any one region and the yellow box will show you the length. If you switch the arrange display to show SMPTE (arrange page view menu) the info in the yellow box should show you SMPTE (with milliseconds). See if that works for you.

 

Once you've established the length for one region, you can set all other regions to the same length by the procedure described at the bottom of pg. 445 (shift+option). But first, view arrange page regions in the event editor by clicking on a blank area of the arrange page and then opening an event editor. You will then see the names of all of the regions in your arrange page. Select the ones you want to change the length of and use the procedure (shift+option).
