Syncing Simmons drum module/pads with Kits in Logic Studio

I just bought a Simmons SDK7 v-kit with a usb port that supposedly can be used to sync it with the drums sounds I have in Logic. But there is nothing I can find in my logic manual or the simmons manual that tells me how to map certain sounds to each pad. When I select it as a external midi device, I can't figure out what to do next. When I choose midi instruments, it automatically assigns sounds, but my snare is a hihat, cymbal is a snare, there's not toms...etc. etc. and theres a TON of latency.

Does anyone know how to sync my Electric drums to my Logic sounds?
