Reassign Track Header

When i want to reassign an audio or instrument track, i can only choose from items already used in the arrange.

Let's say i got 4 audio or instrument tracks and i want to change instrument 4 into audio 10 or something,....i don't see 10 or anything in the flip menu,...

I only see the 4 instrument tracks i'm using in the arrange,....

With earlier Logic versions you saw the whole bunch there,...from audio (instrument) 1 to 64 etc,..

And also when i double click under the tracks when let's say audio track 3 is selecten in the arrange, a new channel audio 1 is created,...not audio 4 (or 5 when 3 is stereo linked)

Double clicking while an audio instrument tracks is selected DOES create a next numbered instrument.

Reassigning a track requires that the object you wish to reassign to has to exist in the environment. This has always been true regardless of Logic version. Obviously you were previously using a template where 64 instrument channel objects were already created in the environment for you. If this is what you want, just open the environment and create as many as you like.

Logic 8 has Arrange/Mixer features that automatically create environment objects for you, but that's not relevant when you're "reassigning" a track object.
