Larry Mal
...because I'm at work. And I'm bored, and that's why I'm thinking of this, and breaking protocol by not looking up something before I post about it. Here's my thing: I hate the click track, and would like to turn it off unless I were to want it on, that is, have it be off be the default. I'm sure if I looked it up, which I've been too lazy to do, I'd see the answer there. But I have an hour and a half to go at this stupid job and I need some sort of accomplishment to the day here, and if one of you would help me, I'd feel I had done that. If I told you what I was getting paid you'd read me the god damn manual and gently caress my head as I cried myself to sleep. Thanks in advance! biff_larken
Pretty sure it's either in Preferences or in Song Settings. If it's Song Settings, then it would only apply for each song. Although one workaround MIGHT be to click it on when loading up a project, and then click it off, in the transport bar. Then again, I can't test this either, since I'm at work as well. David Nahmani
It's a Project setting. You can: 1) Start recording and click the Metronome button in the Transport bar. That will disable the "Click while recording" setting, which is on by default. 2) Open Settings > Metronome and manually disable "Click while recording". Then save your template so the settings "stick" next time you start a new project using that template.

L Hall
I set up key command "c" to toggle the click on and off. There when I want it, gone when I don't.
