ed13adema
Is there a way to see how much in samples it is compensating? Pro Tools lets you see how much in samples per track. The Problem I am having with the Delay Compensation is when you transfer the the session to another DAW the vocals and the guitar is out of time. Because I recorded with the Delay Compensation on. triplets
You should always record with PDC off. It's meant more for mixing.

ed13adema
I get that it is for mixing, But I like to mix as I go. The question is I want to see on a per track basis how much it is compensating. If I turn it off and add plugins as I go it gets all screwed up. This is why Logic will always be a creating tool and not a recording tool in the professional world. I wish i could start and finish a project in Logic. I really do Ed
fader8
I get that it is for mixing, But I like to mix as I go. Then set PDC to audio and instrument tracks only. Don't put plugs on aux's or outputs until you're done tracking. The question is I want to see on a per track basis how much it is compensating. You can't. There it is. If I turn it off and add plugins as I go it gets all screwed up. Plug-ins only report their processing delay to the PDC system when you press play. Inserting on the fly while the transport is running will mess things up. I wish i could start and finish a project in Logic. I really do Change your workflow to match your tools then. In the end, one must adapt their workflow to how the software works best or choose a different software that is more attuned to one's proposed workflow. Anything else is folly. In the end, one must adapt their workflow to how the software works I thought the whole point of this forum was to discuss problems not defend them. The reason I switched to Logic is I couldn't accept the way Pro Tools handles Virtual Instruments I wish I had a direct line to Apple the first thing I would fix would be. The ability to move more than one track at a time in the arrange window or Be able to take two mono tracks and make them stereo. Or the way the fade tool works Whatever right........ those things don't bug you. If i listed all the things it couldn't do I'd be hating. I want to use it professionally but the more I use it the more snags I run into. I just want to make it better. I've been using apple computers since OS 8.6. I am not defending Logic. there are lots of things that bug me about it. As there are about PT. As there are about Cubase. As there are about DP. I am merely stating what I believe to be the reality of working with these kind of applications.
