zonco
Hi all! I've invested in a Novation Remote Zero SL, but i'm not really happy with the mappings. I can make changes to the control surface settings in Logic so i can get more "modes", and get more options in controling logic. But the problem is logic sometimes drop the connection to the controller, and if I rescan the original settings are restored. Is it possible to save the settings in some way. In the manual it say´s "it´s not necessary" because it auto saves, wich doesn´t help me in this situation. Thanks for any ideas /Tomas
fader8
Try backing up your control surface preference file once you have everything the way you like it. Then if things go bad, restart Logic with your backup instead of it's more recent pref file. The Novation driver and CS bundle are flaky like that. They're still getting their feet wet with desktop programming me thinks.
zonco
Thanks, I'll try that. It would be nice to be able to save different settings in Logic and switch when you want to use the controller in another way though. That´s on my wish list... /Tomas
fader8
That´s on my wish list... Mine too. I often like to dedicate one of my XT's just to subs, regardless of the mode of my main LC. It's do-able, but clumsy right now. What I'd really like to see is a way to manually fix enumeration of MIDI ports so things don't get so screwed up when drivers come and go, as they inevitably do if you have lots of MIDI stuff in your rig.
