Aligning one-shot audio regions to the grid

Hi,

 

Is there a shortcut for aligning audio regions that have had their 'silence stripped' to the grid of Logic's sequencer? i.e., if I had a percussive audio sample that was out of time, could I strip silence/chop it up and align the anchor points/beginning of the region with the first beat of every bar? Or do I have to do it all by eye?

You have to create the anchor points by eye (and ear !).

After that, the regions should snap to the grid setting (Bar, Beat, Tick etc)

using the anchor point as, well, an anchor ! !

If you use strip silence you can then use quantize in the Event List, select all the regions in the Arrangement, open the event list and select your quanitze value at the top. This will align to the automatically generated anchor points for each region.

 

I'm not sure if that's what you're trying to do, but I thought it might be.
