Motu Ultralite

Im pulling my hair out. I have been using so far just the Main outs of my Motu Ultralite;

Today i tried to hook up the individual outs and I can't get Logic, Reason or Ableton Live to produce any sound out of the inputs. However Itunes plays out of analog 1-2 or analog 1-3 no problem. But none of DAW's do. The soundcard equalizer shows sound coming in from say, Reason. However it doesnt get to my mixer.. but Itunes does??? does anyone who has a Motu Ultralite please help me trouble shoot this?

I presume you've done all the elementary stuff ?

Latest drivers from MOTU ?

Configured the device in AMS ?

Chosen the MOTU driver as the Core Audio driver in Logic ?

 

Checked in your Environment Audio Configuration pane

to see whether inputs/outputs appear there ?

 

If all these things do not produce a result, post back.

Also, if i go in audio/midi setup and select properties in Audio for Ultralite, when i got to Audio Output all volume sliders are grey'd out...

That's normal for third-party drivers.

Ok, so for instance in Logic, on say your Kick Drum track, you go to the channel strip, and when you click on the 'output' what comes up? You should get a drop down menu, i think it offers options 1 to 14 as outputs, does this show up for you?

 

So if it does and you can assign your track output...where have you physically got that output plugged too?

 

Something else to bear in mind is that some of those outputs are the spdif digital out...very confusing if you have 2 ultralites together as an agregate because the digi outs come up in the middle of the total list.
