M-Print
Okay so I was searching for apple loops to use in a song. I ussually change the notes and maybe even the instrument if it's midi so nobody would even recognize the sample. However I was noticing that a few of the samples I was using weren't the key they said they were. I switched the top thing to minor and looked for loops in G. I picked one that sounded good, but after looking at the midi notes I could see that it definately wasn't in G minor. So is Logic transposing the loops? Is there a key setting in my song like in Garageband that would transpose midi if it was conflicting?
Ed Ryan
Whilst picking a loop, there is a function underneath the main browser that allows you to specify the key the loop is played in. By default it is set to 'Song Key', and if I remember rightly most DAWS set the default for that to C. So chances are, that yes it is being trasposed. I dunno how to change the default key of a project tho...
