Zicky
I was just wondering if it was possible to automate multiple tracks at the same time. let's say you have a group of background vocals, and you wanna to lower the volume of all of them at the same time, at a particular point. Is there a way I can do that? Thx....
nagal
What I do is to create an Aux channel, route all the tracks to that Aux and then automate the volume, pan whatever of the aux channel. There might be other ways to do.

There might be other ways to do. I think I know what you mean, and I'll try that, but what I meant was using the Track automation that looks like the Hyper draw line, and copying that adjustment I've made to other tracks. Is there a way I can do that?

Or, if they are contiguous, you can click and drag over the channels. Click In the group selection box and assign them to a group. In the group setting dialog make sure automation is selected... you can also select region, track zoom, hide and record too! Now, in the arrange enable automation... put one of the tracks into touch or latch and begin writing automation for ALL the grouped track from the selected track! Have fun! Hey, steve I thank you for your response, but I do understand what your talking about, and I did try that, and I'm good on that, but what I was asking is that, you know when you choose automation, and you get that line that's like Hyper draw. So when I make an adjustment by adjusting the line, I want to know how to copy that same adjustment to another track? Thx.....

shivermetimbers
In LS8 ( or 7) you make your node points and simply use the automation select tool and highlite the area to copy, then use the copy and paste function.

You know I tried the copy, and paste thing, and I must be doing something wrong, cause it didn't work for me. I made some node points, Highlighted it using the (+), and tried copying, and pasting, and nothing happened. It just created more node points on the same track..... shivermetimbers
It's a bit tricky at 1st. 1.) Make your nodes 2.) Select the automation select tool (pointer). 3.) rubberband the section to be copied (it will change color) 4.) Copy. 5.) hi-lite the next track and paste. That's it. (If that fails, we will go to plan 'B' using the copy and convert method).
Doug Z
So when I make an adjustment by adjusting the line, I want to know how to copy that same adjustment to another track? This works here on Logic 8.0.1: hold down the shift key, highlight your selection. Command C. Select target track, command V. (Make sure volume automation is showing on target and destination track.) For the whole track, command click on the yellow automation fader to select all automation of displayed parameter and follow same copy/paste method. In addition to Doug Z's method, you can simply use the C & P without any modifier keys. Lets say you finished automating, but you wanted to add one last node somewhere in the middle of all the other nodes on a track. After you add that single node, simply use the copy and paste function and that single node will be added to the tracks you select to paste to.
