leko
I know you can do beat mapping and all, but I think what I want is a bit different. I have a bunch of sessions in PT. I do not currently own PT (and am trying to avoid its purchase). The recording tech. who made them for my band did not print each track to disk, nor did he create new audio files for the punches he combined. If I drop the audio files into a new session, is there an easy (I understand this is a loaded word) way to align the tracks that are not full length? I have no trouble placing them in the songs where they should go, the problem is lining them up accurately so they are on beat. Any ideas? Thanks, Leko
Eric Cardenas
Open the Event List and try quantizing to 1/
leko
Thanks, I will try. Does that quantize within regions or just the edges, and does it stretch them, or just align the beginning? I am just curious.
David Nahmani
It just aligns the anchor, which is usually at the beginning of the audio region unless you use Strip Silence or manually move it in the Sample Editor.
