Stutter Effect in Ultrabeat

So, I've dragged an apple loop into the bottom OSC in the UB. I see the sample has loaded. I've created a sequencer in my environment and it of course is routed to the UB. How the hell do I get the sample in the OSC to be part of the sequencer. I hope I made that clear. I can program any of the drums in the sequencer but, I can't ever figure out how to play the sample in UB on it's own, let alone in the sequencer. Any help would be much obliged.
