torsig1967
I'm trying to figure out Mainstage and wonder if this can be accomplished: Two external keyboards are routed to two different soft synths A and B - fine. One external midi controller. Already preconfigured for the softsynths by CC. Can I easily switch destination for the CC:s to go to either A or B, not both. I'm not sure if I am in the ballpark here, but are you looking to do something like what's mentioned on page 91 of the Main stage manual?

I'm not sure if I am in the ballpark here, but are you looking to do something like what's mentioned on page 91 of the Main stage manual? Yes, it's like what mentioned in page 91. But since all CC:s are already assigned to the soft synths (mapped inside the actual synths own GUI) I don't want to re-assign every parameter once again inside Mainstage too. I just want to send the CC directly to the synths. This is no problem when I'm just using one keyboard and one AU-synth, but when I'm using two of each the problem I see is that it seems I can only route one midi-device exclusively to the channel strip hosting the AU-synth. So once the keyboards are routed to each channelstrip there seems to be no way to also route the midicontroller directly to only one of the strips. shivermetimbers
I am limited here because I don't have two keyboard set up like you do. If you have either one working one working, then I would say that both should work independently. The manual jacks you around by mentioning the topic you are looking for and then sends you to many different places to locate the rest of the specific information. There is a set up for you midi interfaces, there are check boxes to tell main stage if you want the signal to go to one or all of the channel strips, and can get rather confusing if you are not patient. It may be a matter of setting one external keyboard to midi channel 2 and keeping the other one as midi channel 1.

It's the controller I want to route directly to either one or the other channelstrips. I want to be able to switch destination for the controller, that's the big problem.
