beetea
Im sure Im not the only one to discover this but I would be PLEASED to know that there is a solution. LogicPro8 randomly stops reading the automation on certain audio tracks. I've experienced it with all kinds of plugins but also with basic parameter like volume. The mode stays on READ but nothing happens when the playhead passes through the nodes. If I had a node while in plaback, it catch back the automation. Anyone have any solution for this? I might go back to Nuendo! Thanks
cowrange
I don't have any help but you're not alone on this. Been majorly pissing me off this week.
ski
The mode stays on READ but nothing happens when the playhead passes through the nodes. There's a good chance that although the automation mode says READ that it's actually set to OFF. Click/hold on the automation mode button to check this for yourself. Meanwhile... If I had a node while in plaback, it catch back the automation. Yep. That'll also "jog" Logic back into proper behavior sometimes. AFAIA there are no known workarounds to these problems (I've struggled with them myself and posted about them extensively). The only thing I can suggest is that you assign key commands which set the automation mode of all tracks simultaneously (set up commands for OFF, READ, and TOUCH). If automation stops working, set automation back to READ or TOUCH using the appropriate command. If that doesn't work you can also try setting the automation mode for all tracks to OFF first, then back to READ or TOUCH. HTH -=sKi=-
beetea
Im glad to know I was not suffering from schyzophrenia! But I deeply hope Apple will wake up on this. You think there will be a way to gather a kind of petition or a group of people to build some pressure against Aplle-Logic? Is that useless? Thanks for the suggestions, I'll try them out right away. Would be great to keep this topic alive! chears
ski
Below are three LPH links discussing some of the problems with L8 automation. There might be others posted here as well. Some of the information is repeated between these threads, but FWIW: http://www.logicprohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=18990&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=touch&start=0 http://www.logicprohelp.com/viewtopic.php?p=112635&highlight=automation#112635 http://www.logicprohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=24136&highlight=automation
