Is there any reason to buy Altiverb...

...considering Logic has a built-in convo reverb already? Would it only be to have more IRs or is it as incredible and worth the money as everyone says?

I've been interested in getting it for a while, just not sure it's necessary any more...

If you are doing orchestral simulation and vocals, I would say yes. The IRs are simply in a different league than those that come with Space Designer.

That said, if you are doing pop vocals ands you want that Lexicon type sheen,

Overload's Breverb sounds as good for that as any software reverb I have ever tried.

I'm doing my best to break into writing orchestral scores at the moment, so a good reverb is important. Is there any reason to get the XL pack over the Regular (cheaper) pack considering I'm a Logic user?

Asher - I particularly like your music and the way it's produced. Am I right in thinking you play more of your instruments than program them and then use Altiverb?

Thanks for the kind words. Yes, that is correct.
