undo, redo, and the history they have

So just wondering why redo isn't available? When consulting the user guide it brings up the undo history window but isn't there a simple redo command?

Not sure what you mean... SHIFT+OPT+Z = redo (for as many undo/redo levels as are set in the prefs).

And in the undo history there should be a redo button. You don't see one?

K so this is going to sound really strange but i've had this issue of whenever I look in the edit menu redo has been greyed out for a while now. Well I just opened up the undo history in the preferences pressed redo in that window and all of a sudden in the edit menu REDO is now available as an option. Good Stuff :D

Nope, doesn't sound strange to me at all... Logic has this, er, um... er... "habit" (yeah, that's it, it's a "habit" ;) ) where if you try something the first time it just won't work. If you try it again, though, it will work. This is behavior that goes back to Logic 3, Logic 4 (and something I've posted about dozens of times, related to any number of functions. But I digress.) Anyway, what you're describing seems to be related to this kind of behavior, and a pretty over-the-top example of it at that. In any event, glad to hear you've got it working.

Yeah i remember when I first started using logic (remember the emagic big box promo) there were a quite a few little gremlins that didnt really make sence. I usually would just blame it on my blue G3 tower, it sucked
