Johnsherry
I am trying to create markers in Logic. I have imported a video and audio track and have located the particular frame where I want to start the music. I hit cntrl K and a marker is created at the nearest bar, not at the exact point where I had the playhead. Once I create the marker at the place I want it, I then want to make that place zero in the smpte counter, or create a smpte offset. Can you help me out? There are two types of commands for setting markers, setting the locators, etc. They are "set (marker) at nearest bar" or simply "set marker". So set up a key command for the latter and your markers will be generated precisely where the SPL is at any given time. Or use the same key command if you want. Choice is yours as to how to approach this.

To make a marker at exactly the song position line, set up a key command for "Creat Marker without rounding" menu, LogicPro>Preferences>Key commands... and search for "Creat Marker without rounding". that will get you the marker in the right place. Then, to set your SMPTE time zero to any place you like do menu File > Song Settings > Syncronization and used the Bar postion 1 2 3 4, plays at SMPTE 1:2:3:4.0 both are editable. ski
Yup, he's right, it's "create marker without rounding". My bad.
