Amin Bhatia Posted May 29, 2008 Share Posted May 29, 2008 Gang When an exs sample doesn't open, or a channel strip selection freezes the program here's how to "stop" the search. launch Activity Monitor and search in active processes. Look for "mds". If its sitting there and cpu usage is at 100% there's your culprit. Force quit this process (warnings, password etc). It releases the search and returns an error message in Logic telling you why your EXS or channel strip didn't load. You can save your song and troubleshoot from there. 10.5.3 may have solved this but at least this is how I got by over the last few weeks. A (Logic 8, Leopard, and Quad intel 3.0...)
