Ned Bouhalassa
Hey gang, Apologies if this has already been discussed and answered, but I was wondering if there is a way to turn off the Comp function? I really don't like it. Thanks!
Mr. Black Box
You can use replace mode. Page 372 in the manual.
Ned Bouhalassa
Thanks, but replace mode is not exactly what I'm looking for, as it only leaves one region on the Arrange page, even if you record 6 times. Sure, all 6 regions are in the Audio Bin, but I want them to remain on the Arrange page, so the won't lose their place. Basically, I want the old way of working with recorded regions. Is it possible? guavadude
hit control-return to add a new arrange track that uses the same channel and record each pass that way. You can put them in a folder later if you like working that way. I'd give another try to getting used to the comp feature. It took me a little while but now I love it and use it all the time. Check out how it works when you punch in on an existing track. As long as you're in overdub, it will keep track of passes within passes if that makes any sense. Once I get it sounding the way I want, I flatten and tweak the fades.
