Rasmus Faber
I'm about to mix an album project in a different studio, running the songs from my laptop to the desk. When doing this, should all the buffer sizes be set to the large possible value for most stable playback? Any other tweaks that could help when I need stable playback only? David Nahmani
Set your buffer size to 512 and see how that works. If the playback stops and you get a CPU alert, then try 1024 or more if available. If you the project still won't playback because of the CPU, you may have to freeze tracks. If it's because of the drive, you ... could for example set some of the larger audio regions to "Follow Tempo", just to force them to be loaded and played back from the RAM.
