Opening pro tools aif files with Logic pro 8.0 ??

Recommended Posts

Hi I'm having trouble opening pro tools aif files with logic pro 8.0. When I do it the track is in slowmode and extremely deep. I've also experienced unprovoked feed on midi sounds (especially on the pianos) using a fireface400 sound card and electric piano. The audio recordings are great but it bothers me a bit that the midi section is unstable.

Can anyone tell me if u need to convert pro tools aif files before opening with logic?

Does anyone know about fireface400 and feeding on midi recordings?

shouldn't be, I mean a MBPro is what I got and I've done 16 tracks simultaneus through firewire400 on a standard macbook before, so...Im sure a bigger gear head has a better answer but three things:

-up to date software (logic 8.0.2) and osX 10.5.2

-you don't have other programms running that are unneccessary

-you have your audio settings set right(inputs and what not)

I had recent problems when I was recording, in the middle of laying down a track it just became supper latent. I was kind of dumbfounded, so a simple reboot, update of everything, and a second reboot and no trouble since

Good Luck!
