artmusicsouth Posted July 17, 2008 Share Posted July 17, 2008 I am getting set-up with a VPN at my office/studio. I was wondering if I can work with Logic via the VPN? Can I get the audio from Logic on my studio computer over the VPN to my laptop at home? I have never done this so I am a complete noob in this. KJ Posted July 17, 2008 Share Posted July 17, 2008 It depends on what you expect and what you want to spend. Technically VPN is nothing more then a secure tunnel over the internet. If you just want to run Logic at home and transfer (copy) the audio files over the VPN connection to your laptop and play them from there it should work. Keep in mind though that this all depends and bandwith of your internet connection, it uses that for the file transfer. If you want to open the files directly from your server to your laptop then i think logic finds your VPN connection way to slow to load audio from.
