Glenn L.
Hi, I've read the manual, etc, and I have tried various things to no avail. I am working on a drum track using Addictive Drums, mostly using their fills. So, I put one of the AD MIDI fill files over the region with the basic beat, and I can't seem to find a way to easily integrate one into the other. I suppose I could copy and past from the fill file, but that isn't very elegant. Could someone please help me with this? Thanks, Glenn
pantomimeHorse
Stick 'em on different tracks, Glenn. Then bus the tracks for whatever FX you need. - Also has the benefit of independent automation for each, which makes for good sounding transitions. - C
Glenn L.
Hi, there is that option, I guess. I have to keep an eye on my CPU usage, though. AD occasionally makes the CPU meter spike. Cheers, Glenn PS, Has this always been awkward in Logic, or is it a 'feature' of LP8?
Glenn L.
Ok, I think I figured out a way to do it: Create identical track under the drum track; Move one of the MIDI regions directly underneath the other one; Select both regions; Select 'Merge Regions,' and the one underneath jumps up to the one above. They move as one region, play as one region, and the events from both regions are in the Piano Roll window of one region. Not elegant, but doable. Of course, step 1 is probably not necessary, but the second region should be directly under the first. Cheers, Glenn
David Nahmani
Yup, just like Chris said, you just have to put them on different (existing) tracks: no need to create an identical track or anything.
