Spunkadellic Posted August 8, 2008 Share Posted August 8, 2008 well for that matter...... try bussing the vocals to a ...bus and adding a hard comp thats just slamming around 12 db of gain reduction....then add a dist or overdrive plug. then turn the bus WAY down to where you just feel it.... if it sounds distorted...turn it down!!!! that should help saturate the vox, and help them sit nice Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Yes, I would think so, myself, good mic + good preamp does a lot, and VintageWarmer to to fake out more. Not that a good mic voice would be a good start, too.
