nickboyroy
I have a problem with logic 7.2 pro, whenever i record audio it places it in the track ahead of where it should be and i can't seem to suss out why? its making all my audio out sync with my midi elements it's driving me nuts!! I've tried adjusting the Recording delay in audio driver preferences, this does seem to affect where it is placed but it is completely random. and when you think you've got it sussed at the right delay setting, next time you use it it has the previous delay on it and is out of sync again. I've changed the frame rate this has done nothing i'm out of ideas, please help i spent a fortune on this a year back and it's never worked properly. I have an Imac 2.1ghz 1GB ram. Any help would be greatly appreciated
nickboyroy
Sorry i should add i've turned software monitoring off and this doesn't help, I've also heard that i should turn off the delay compensation but i can't figure out how to do this. And i should also add my souncard is a edirol UA -
triplets
Go to Logic Preferences under General you will find Plugin Compensation and set it to Off. Also make sure you don't have latency producing plugins running like Adaptive Limiter, Linear Phase Eq or similar 3rd party plugins that have a lookahead feature when you record. nickboyroy
sorry, i found it, i was being blind! Still, i'm still having the same bother, when you zoom into the audio file when i've recorded the click it is ahead of the start of the bar. i really can't figure this out! triplets
So you're saying the music is ahead of the beat? Usually it's the other way around. Maybe try increasing the buffer size to add latency.
nickboyroy
Yes, it's really strange Thanks i'll give that a go, could you recommend and settings? Thank you
shivermetimbers
I had this happen once because I forgot to disable the plugins (mastering ) on the output channel. It sounded like everything recorded fine but what a mess on playback.
