SRob
A question that I've been trying to find an answer to for awhile is: Is there a way in the piano roll editor to change the velocity of a group of midi notes with different velocities, all to the exact same velocity?? An example in case that doesn't make sense: I record a couple measures of hi-hat in real time. Since I am not a robot, they are played at very different and somewhat random velocities. So I "rubber-band" highlight all of the midi hi-hat notes and try and use the velocity tool to set them all to a certain velocity, but instead I end up just having them all raised or lowered relative to their starting velocities, in stead of them all being equal. Whew, that was hard to explain and still might be unclear, but any help would be appreciated. Thanks SRob
route-electrique
I just moved to Logic 8 from Logic 5. I remember there was some trick (keyboard+mouse combination) to put series of notes with same velocity ?. I hope i dont remember wrong. Of course you can always go to Transform Window, but there's simpler and faster ways - i'm sure!.
David Nahmani
Select all the desired notes, then start dragging the velocity tool on one of them, press Shift-Option and continue dragging.
