athafran
I can't get the following key commands (I think for track-based automation) to work in 8.0.2. Could someone please confirm this? Thanks
ski
They work fine here, on PPC tho. What keys are you trying to program them to? And have you tried both assignment options (key position and key label)?
athafran
Thanks for the reply ski. I have tried assigning the key command: control/option/V using both the key position and key label assignments with no luck. Maybe I'm not getting what it is supposed to do. To my understanding in the Arrange window if I use the Toggle Automation controlling Volume key command I should be able to toggle back and forth between Volume and Display Off when viewing track-based automation. ski
Oh, I see what's happening... Those commands you listed above actually toggle the checkboxes in the automation prefs on and off. What you want are the "Set All Tracks To (Touch/Latch/Read/etc.)" commands to do what you want.
athafran
Well, that explains things! Good advice. I put those "Set all to Read", etc. automation key commands to good use. I was hoping the aforementioned key commands would upon viewing track automation make easy to switch between the volume, pan, sends, etc. automation tracks. ski
Yeah, I hear ya. It would be really great to have key commands to do exactly what you described.
